Verticals
A vertical is a configured operating mode for Torque. Verticals change intake workflows, prompt templates, model routing, governance presets, and dashboard branding — without changing the engine itself. One engine, many faces.
Research
The default vertical. Built for operators who run governed research loops: intake questions, retrieve from a local corpus, generate briefs with provenance tracking, and export evidence bundles. Research runs entirely on local models by default, with cloud fallback for deep research tasks.
Studio
A writing and content production vertical. Studio uses multi-stage workflows — outline, first draft, revision, publication — with collaboration modes at each stage. The engine generates drafts, a human edits, governance gates quality before publication.
Cinema
A pre-production vertical for visual storytelling. Cinema takes a script or concept through script analysis, scene breakdown, visual direction (human-set), storyboard generation (cloud image models), animatic generation (cloud video models), and assembly. Each stage is governed independently with per-stage cost caps.
Custom verticals
Torque's architecture separates the engine from the vertical. A vertical is a configuration — intake modes, workflows, model roster, governance bundles, and branding. Creating a new vertical does not require modifying the engine. Documentation on building custom verticals is included with your purchase.
